Private Lessons

I have been a flute teacher for 30+ years, teaching students of a variety of ages, backgrounds and varying goals in their music studies. I accept students into my studio who are truly serious about improving their skills as flutists/musicians. Some of my students are very committed to creating a career as musicians, and I have been successful in helping them enter into strong music programs at the collegiate level. Most all of my students have continued to perform in college and their communities, regardless of their career aspirations.  

As a teacher/mentor, my greatest goal is to create a healthy (physical/mental/emotional) approach to learning to make music at a skilled level with the flute. I strive to create a peer motivated environment, where students feed off of the enthusiastic drive of others, support each other, and excel through quality instruction and positive performance and competitive experiences.
